Because most State boundary locations have not been officially described beyond the coast, are disputed between states or in some cases the coastal land boundary description is not available, these lines serve as an approximation that was used to determine a starting point for creation of BOEM’s OCS Administrative Boundaries. Downloadable GIS files are not available for this layer due to its unofficial status.
